Another great feature of the hotel is its friendly and attentive staff. The breakfast team was great with my son, giving us a fantastic welcome every morning. The reception team is always ready to help with any queries or requests guests may have, and they go out of their way to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Whether it’s recommending a museum or helping book public transport tickets, the staff is always happy to assist.
Rooms: Comfortable and Well-Equipped
The hotel offers a variety of rooms to suit different needs and budgets. If you have stayed in Hilton hotels before, you know that their style is definitely recognisable. Large and spacious public areas are accompanied by equally spacious and elegant rooms in their apparent simplicity.
Hampton by Hilton is the more convenient brand compared to Hilton, but the style is very similar. The rooms are standard in size but are clean, spacious, and well-maintained. They have all the necessary amenities, including air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and comfortable beds. The bathrooms are also well-appointed with modern fittings and toiletries.
We stayed in a Super King Room, a double room more spacious than the Queen Room. I loved the convenience of having a kettle and tea and coffee. There is also an iron and ironing board. The bathroom has a full shower, fluffy towels and bath amenities.
Other rooms available are Queen Room, Twin Room (like the Queen Room but with separate beds), Queen Accessible Room, Queen Room with Sofa Bed (if you’re a couple travelling with a young kid), and Family Connecting Room (two Super King Rooms connected between them).
Breakfast: The Best Way to Start the Day
One of the standout amenities of Hilton Budapest City Centre is its fantastic breakfast, which is free of charge for all guests staying at the hotel. You can wake up each morning to a delicious spread of coffee, milk, freshly baked bakery, yoghurts, eggs and charcuterie items. There is also a waffle machine that my son and I enjoyed a lot.
I am a fan of continental breakfast, and this incredible buffet will leave you feeling energised and ready to tackle the day ahead. We tasted everything, and everything was excellent and tasty. So, whether you’re a fan of sweet or savoury breakfast foods, you’ll find plenty of options at the Hampton by Hilton Budapest City Centre.
Hampton by Hilton Budapest City Centre Location: A Perfect Spot to Explore Budapest
One of the best things about the Hampton by Hilton Budapest City Centre is its location. The hotel is really in the heart of Budapest, within walking distance of many of the city’s top attractions.
During our stay in Budapest, we travelled almost exclusively on foot because we were already in the centre. I point out the central location because, when travelling with children, it is essential to be close to the sights to avoid adding stress and enjoy the trip.
The famous Hungarian Parliament Building, St. Stephen’s Basilica, and the Danube River are just a stone’s throw away from the Hampton by Hilton Budapest City Centre. Other popular attractions, such as the Fisherman’s Bastion, Buda Castle, and Chain Bridge, are a little further away, but you can easily get there by bus or on a longer walk.
