What to do at Playmobil FunPark in Malta
Playmobil FunPark offers activities for kids indoors and outdoors. My son loved playing with the Playmobil planes and campervans scattered around. Occasionally, Playmobil FunPark hosts special events that add even more excitement to your visit.
Additionally, there is a cafeteria where parents can enjoy a coffee on the terrace and relax while older kids play outside. The area is very safe; for instance, children cannot run away because all the doors have buttons placed at an adult’s height to open them.

Indoor Activities
The Playmobil FunPark indoor play area is fully air-conditioned and divided into themed zones for babies and toddlers (ages 1-3) and for children aged 4 and up.
Kids’ imaginations come to life here with a display of the latest Playmobil themes. The play area features large-scale Playmobil figures and objects, including a fantastic police helicopter that hangs from the ceiling.
At the entrance, each child receives a bucket filled with Playmobil characters such as little people, horses, as well as furniture, to use during their playtime.
Throughout the indoor space, you’ll find tables set with large toys, such as houses, planes, campervans and trucks. Fire trucks are particularly popular, so much so that kids have to wait to reach that table!

Outdoor Activities
Outside, children can play in a fantastic pirate-themed playground. Here, they can climb hanging bridges and slide down, engaging in real adventures. My son couldn’t stop climbing and running around with the other kids and even made some new friends along the way.
The outdoor playground also has a water area with Playmobil characters. So, if it’s a sunny day, remember to bring a change of clothes for your child.
While kids are playing outside, you can either stay in the playground or watch your children from the cafeteria terrace if you manage to get a good spot.

Cafeteria
As the kids enjoy their time playing, parents can relax at the Playmobil cafeteria. The food is tasty and affordable. Overall, it’s the best-value restaurant I’ve found in Malta.
We had delicious toasties, but you can also order pizza, which didn’t seem too bad (as an Italian, I’m always a bit suspicious about pizza abroad, haha). The coffee is surprisingly good, too.
Shop
The Playmobil FunPark shop features the latest selection of Playmobil toys for toddlers and children. You will discover toys for every interest, ensuring your little ones can bring home a piece of the fun and stay entertained for hours.
In particular, the shop offers unique games that are hard to find elsewhere, such as police sets, aeroplane reproductions, racing cars, and nearly everything available at the Playmobil FunPark.
How to Plan Your Visit to the Playmobil FunPark
If you need a place where your children can burn off energy after a serious museum or cultural trip, Playmobil FunPark is an excellent option for them to play freely.
Before going to the Playmobil FunPark, we spoke with another family we met in Malta (the island is pretty small, so we kept running into each other in various tourist areas!). They suggested that we spend only a couple of hours there, but we ended up staying the whole day.
The outdoor playground is really nice, and my son didn’t want to leave. While it can get boring for parents after a while, the Playmobil FunPark in Malta is truly a fantastic place for kids. They have so much fun that they don’t want to go home. My advice is to bring something to read so you don’t end up texting your ex out of boredom like I did.
Opening Hours
Playmobil FunPark is open Monday to Thursday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Friday to Sunday and during public holidays closes later, at 6:00 pm.
Admission Fee
Child tickets until 12 years old cost €5, while adults pay €3. You can buy your tickets at the entrance on the day of your visit.
How to Reach the Playmobil FunPark in Malta
Playmobil FunPark is in Hal Far, a village in the southeastern part of Malta. We reached it by car. You can use Google Maps to find its exact location and plan your visit. While there isn’t a dedicated parking lot, plenty of street parking is available around the FunPark, as it’s an industrial area.

Where to stay in Malta
The best areas to stay in Malta are St. Julian’s, St. Paul’s Bay, and Valletta. St. Julian’s is well-known for its vibrant nightlife, making it an ideal spot for those looking to enjoy evening entertainment. A great place to stay in St. Julian’s is the stunning Mercure St. Julian’s Malta.
Valletta, the walled fortress city and capital of Malta, is filled with beautiful churches, museums, and palaces. I recommend Valletta for a romantic city break, and the luxurious AX The Saint John is the best hotel for an unforgettable stay.
St. Paul’s Bay is perfect for family trips, as it offers a calmer atmosphere compared to St. Julian’s and Valletta, along with several great playgrounds for children. For accommodation, you can choose the Best Western Premier Malta.
Playmobil FunPark Malta is a great destination for families, offering a perfect mix of creative play, themed adventures, and relaxing moments. Whether your child loves pirates, planes, or fire trucks, there’s something magical waiting for them. It’s an affordable, fun, and welcoming place that I highly recommend for a less touristy day in Malta with your kids. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments!
